Gabion Styles & Variants

1.Gabion Box
A three-dimensional, hexagonal mesh box structure with a relatively high height, typically ranging from 0.5 meters to 1 meter.
Key Features: High structural stability. Includes internal diaphragm panels that divide the box into individual cells, significantly enhancing structural integrity and tensile strength.

2.Reno Mattress
A flat, shallow box-type structure with a low height, typically between 0.17 meters (6 inches) and 0.3 meters (12 inches).
Key Features: Its low profile and large surface area provide superior flexibility and conformity to the ground surface. This makes it highly effective for slope protection and revetment work, while also promoting vegetation growth.

3.Sack Gabion (or Gabion Sack)
Resembles a large, flexible “sack” woven from gabion mesh, with the opening sealed using a lacing wire.
Key Features: Offers great installation flexibility. Can be filled with stone, sealed, and then stacked or placed like a large sandbag for various emergency and permanent structures.
